The Enchanted Arcana of Greg Carter depicts a whimsical world bustling with vibrant colors and larger-than-life characters. This exhibition is a multi-part installation illustrating the stories of the Tarot’s most inspired and symbolic cards through bold color interactions and organic forms and prints. Enter this unfamiliar world and experience the enchanting and enigmatic energy of the Major Arcana.
Arguably the centerpiece of this show is the 14 foot tall sculpture “Star”. Looking like it just left Easter Island, this benevolent art-spirit commands the back of the gallery. Star stands in front of a 20 foot by 30 foot mural that replicates in 3 dimensions the striking postcard image that promotes The Enchanted Arcana.
This is the second half of the Major Arcana source paintings. I used these to create the animations that accompanied this show. They were all 60 second vignettes dealing with each of the cards of the major arcana.
Below are digital paintings that were used for the second section of the major arcana.
